Weedfree Garden Services founded In 1992, by Mel Bower when he finished working for British Coal and decided to turn his passion and experience for gardening to full time.
Weedfree’s humble beginnings as a sign-written Ford Transit and a small fleet of garden machinery was first advertised with a local leaflet drop by friends as well as an advert in the local paper. Soon after that, the appointments started to come in. An expanded workload led to the hiring of Weedfree’s first staff member. Mel has never looked back, and Weedfree continues its expansion to today.
Weedfree's first unit on Wood Street Mansfield quickly became too small for Weedfree's growing operations, which became a further expansion when Weedfree moved locations to its new home on Westfield Lane Mansfield, Transforming the old car repair garage into Weedfree's new home.
Weedfree operations have contuined at the hands of two generations of the Bower family, with our succession we have been able to add over ten employees and expand our fleet of vans further. We were able to service over 700 gardens per fortnight in addition to our hundreds of other commercial contracts and domestic jobs.
From this moment on we have endorsed nothing but growing opportunities, Weedfree Garden Services soon expanded into Weedfree Landscapes and becoming a limited company in 2008 offering expert grounds maintenance soloutions to our commerical clients and public sectors.
Weedfree Landscapes LTD are also Safe Contractor Approved, as well as achieveing ISO 9001, 14001 And 45001.
